   NOTES: To explain the chatter at the end of Act I: you can't tell by listening to the performance, but when Elphaba says "It's not her you want. She has nothing to do with it. It's me - it's meeeeee!", the platform malfunctioned, and would not rise. So, Elphaba couldn't Defy Gravity (Haha. Yes, I made a funny). Teal just stepped out to the front of the stage and gave (I feel) an even more powerful performance than ever. The crowd was both dumbfounded and amazed. Go Teal! :D The orchestra also played a jazz variation on the Playout music at this performance.

   NOTES: This was the last performance of Wicked that I saw before moving away from San Francisco, and it was also the best. While it wasn't my favourite cast (don't get me wrong - I love them, but Vicki Noon and Natalie Daraditch are my favourite Elphaba/Glinda combo - and while Fiama is great, Patty Duke is the best Madame Morrible out there), it was a great night. There was an incredible amount of energy from both the cast and the audience. It was just an all-around powerful experience, and a great last memory of living in San Francisco. I recommend this audio - especially to Kendra and Teal fans.
